BAPA Session 1 - Period 5 - Website Building

Website Building (All grades)

In this class, students will explore methods to design and build websites. We’ll ground ourselves in understanding of HTML, CSS, some basic JavaScript, and the functions each language has in building websites. Then, we’ll explore the power of WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) website editors like Web flow and Wix. Finally, we’ll cover common UI (user interface) elements and patterns so that students know how to build visually appealing and intuitive webpages. Throughout the course, students will build their own small websites about topics of their choosing, and students will have the option to continue working on these websites after the course is over.
