What is a Dental Sterilization Technician?
Dental Sterilization Technicians are essential team members, aiding dentists and Registered Dental Assistants to streamline office operations. Their duties include administrative tasks, lab work, and preparing examination rooms by sterilizing instruments. They assist dentists during procedures and require strong communication, problem-solving, manual dexterity, and a sense of responsibility. Ready for a rewarding career? Class meeting Dates and Times

Monday June 17, 2024 - Saturday June 22nd, 2024

1200 O’Brien Drive, Menlo Park 94025 RM 54 (in the JobTrain Bldg)

1pm- 4pm 

Class will be instructed from Monday June 17th - Friday June 21st in the JobTrain building. We ask students to be available on Saturday June 22nd, as we will be arranging a final activity on that day. More information will be given prior to the start of the class 

Attendance Policy

Student’s may not miss more than one day of class time in order to receive a certificate of completion, and to access information and recommendations to and from our network of employers.

Please be sure to arrive at class on time each day as there is a lot of content to get through in a short period of time. Consistent tardiness with no valid explanation will count as missing class, and you may not pass the program.

Cleanliness Practices

Students will be required to attend in person lab sessions using dental equipment. We ask students to participate in standard sanitary protocol and procedures to accommodate a safe and sterile lab experience for the students.

Student Requirements

• Be between the ages of 16-19
• Have interest in the dental industry 
• Be fluent in conversational English
• Must be comfortable with basic math and computer skills

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the class

About the Instructor

Ana De La O,RDA

My name is Ana De La O, I have been in the Dental industry since 1999. I Graduated from the College of San Mateo Dental Assistant program in 2003 and since then I have received my RDA license. I have been dental assisting ever since! Currently, I work as an Office Manager at a General Practice in San Carlos where I get to assist whenever is needed. Before my current opportunity, I managed an office for 7 years while assisting the Doctor as well. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children.
